Meet Chef Brian
Chef Brian Sumner grew up in Menlo Park, CA and his father worked at Lockheed Martin until he retired. Brian's mother worked at Stanford Hospital and was the tennis pro at Alpine Hills Tennis and Swimming Club in Portola Valley, CA.
Chef Brian Sumner began his culinary career more than 38 years ago in the Bay Area. After working in several restaurants on the Peninsula, he moved to the Lake Tahoe area in 1996..
​
Chef Brian has worked at respected establishments including The Lone Eagle Grille, Spindleshanks, and The Chateau in Incline Village where he served as banquet chef. Most recently he was the Executive Chef at Zephyr Lodge at Northstar California Resort.
​
Today Chef Brian specializes in private chef dining experiences throughout Lake Tahoe, creating personalized culinary events for groups of up to 25 guests.​
